... and here I sit in disbelief that I am actually going to finally make my all-time bucket list trip to NOLA to see my beloved Saints play in the Dome next Sunday versus arch rival Atlanta Falcons! :snoopy::0040::cheer:
I am stoked, pumped, hyped and can't stop thinking about it day and night. One week from now I will be in NOLA... Lord willing it will be a celebratory night from watching our boys put Atlanta in its rightful place by beating them soundly.
I want to tailgate with my Who Dat brethren. I want to get crunk in the Dome after each score. I want to take lots and lots of pics of the players during warmups and whenever possible. I want it all, lol!!! :hihi:
Most of all, I just want to see Sean, Drew and the rest of the team in action at home. Doing what they do. Making me scream with ecstasy at their well-designed/executed plays. I want to see a beautiful TD scored in the end zone right in front of me. I want to shout out to Jimmy Graham, Lance Moore, Darren Sproles, Pierre Thomas, Thomas Morestead, Cameron Jordan and a couple of my newest faves, Nick Toon, Kenny Stills and Kenny Vaccaro.
I want to see our newly revamped defense do some extraordinary things to pressure Matt Ryan and keep them out of the end zone altogether. I want to see Mike Smith's face turn red and his lower lip jut out in a pout the way he does whenever he knows his team is getting beat, lol! :9:
I want to see our special teams keep a lid on returns of any kind. I want to see Garrett Hartley kick with confidence, straight and true, splitting the uprights every time.
I want to witness the first win of a brand new season under Sean Payton. I want to see the team that I love get out there and show the world who they are and what I know they can do.
It's a great time to be a Saints fan. I've been one for over 31 years and I couldn't be more proud of them. If they do what I know they are capable of doing, I will come back here and write a follow-up about my trip and experience as a first-timer in NOLA and the Dome.
I am expecting to be back here after next weekend and I hope to meet a lot of fellow Who Dats during my trip. Just can't wait.
Who Dat!! GEAUX SAINTS!!!
